Peter Doherty Awards

Is there a student, teacher, school, support officer or education partner excelling in STEM education? Recognise their achievements by nominating them for the 2026 Peter Doherty Awards for Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education. Winners will be awarded $5000 to expand their STEM learning experiences. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate excellence in STEM. Applications close Monday, 30 March 2026. Tokyo Global Friendship Program – applications open

Participate in a unique cultural and learning experience in Tokyo. Applications are now open for the Tokyo Global Friendship Program, a fully funded opportunity for Queensland Year 10 students to live and learn in Japan’s capital.

Students will:

💬 develop Japanese language skills

🏫 experience life at a local high school

🏯 explore Japan’s rich historical and cultural heritage

🏙️ visit iconic sites and landmarks in Tokyo
