Message from the Principal

Dear Community,

Thank you for another great week. It was lovely to see so many families in attendance at the Meet the Teacher evening on Tuesday - a perfect opportunity to share important information with your child's teacher to best support your child.

Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday

As a school community, we will joyfully mark Shrove Tuesday by sharing pancakes and reflecting on the importance of saying sorry as we prepare our hearts for Lent. On Ash Wednesday, we will gather in prayer as a sign of our commitment to grow closer to God through kindness, prayer, and helping others. These special days will remind us that Lent is a time to reflect, make positive choices, and follow the loving example of Jesus in our daily lives. We warmly invite families to attend the 7pm Ash Wednesday Mass in the St Mary's Church on Wednesday 18th February. Fr Aurelio will bless us with ashes on Friday 20th at 2:15pm.

Parent Helper Information Sessions - Thursday 9am and 2:30pm

We would love to have you come along to one of our Parent Helper Information Sessions on Thursday 19th February at 9am or at 2:30pm. If you are interested and available, please email admin@smcastlemaine.catholic.edu.au to let us know!

Save the date! Welcome BBQ - Thursday 5th March (5pm - 6:30pm)

We are excited to have a Welcome BBQ held on Thursday 5th March between 5pm and 6:30pm. This will be a informal gathering where can come together, connect and enjoy a BBQ together to celebrate the beginning of the 2026 school year. We would love to see you there!
