Principal's Message

Acting Principal

On Monday, we will welcome Ms Emma Gleeson, who will take over as acting principal for the remainder of the year. Ms Gleeson brings over 25 years of principal experience in the UK, and she is looking forward to learning what makes Tarneit Rise Primary School such a high-performing school.

A Wonderful Celebration of Community

We started the week with our annual Community STEM Night on Monday. It was so lovely to see our families exploring, problem solving and learning together while collecting stamps for their passports. Thank you to everyone who attended. An extra BIG thank you to our inspiring STEM team for organising such a wonderful afternoon and to the student leaders who helped run the activities.

The celebrations continue next week with Book Week.

This year’s theme is A Symphony of Stories. We will have Book Week activities in the classrooms throughout the week, as well as our Book Fair from Monday afternoon, before and after school in room 6, Pod 1. A special assembly will be held on Wednesday afternoon, which coincides with our dress-up day. Who will you be this year?

Events like these remind us that learning goes beyond the four walls of the classroom and give our school community an opportunity to come together.

Royal South Street Society Eisteddfod

On Friday, Mr Stanley and Mr Kirby accompanied our choir to Federation University to compete in their first Royal South Street Society Eisteddfod, and they were AMAZING! The judges gave them a special ‘shout out’ for their rendition of the Aussie classic Beds are Burning by Midnight Oil, and they placed fourth overall with an Honourable mention. We are so proud of the hard work they have put in at rehearsals every week - this hard work clearly paid off. Congratulations!

Planning AheadImportant Reminders

As we begin to plan for 2027, we kindly ask families to:

• Notify the school if your child will not be continuing at TPPS next year. This helps us plan classes and resources.

• Submit 2027 Prep enrolments as soon as possible.  Places are filling up fast and accurate enrolment data is vital in ensuring a smooth and successful transition for our new students and families.

Thank you for your support in helping us plan effectively for the future of our school community.
