Year 12s - Available Jobs & Pathways Support
St Joseph’s is fortunate to have a dedicated Work Related Skills (WRS) Team that is able to offer students tailored advice on career pathways or transition into work.
We are lucky to live in a supportive community where many businesses have a strong willingness to provide young people with opportunities to work and remain living in the area.
Our school has received a number of apprenticeship and full time work opportunities in recent months and the WRS Team have been engaging with students who may be suitable applicants. This has seen some great outcomes, with some students being successful in securing jobs.
We realise this is a very busy and exciting time, however we would like to remind our Year 12 students and families that the WRS Team can continue to offer support right up to the end of this school year on 12 December.
Particular areas where the WRS team can support include:
- Apprenticeships / Traineeships
- Resumes & Cover Letters
- Job Applications
- Interview Preparation
- Services Australia (Centrelink) connections
- Employment Agency & Transition to work connections
If you would like to make an appointment, or request some assistance please contact the WRS Team at careers@sje.vic.edu.au or 5482 2577.
Mobile Australian Defence Force Careers Centre
We're excited to let you know that the Mobile Australian Defence Force Careers Centre (MACC) will be rolling into Echuca on 23 October 2025 and 25 October and will be located at High St Carpark between the hours of 12:00PM – 05:00PM.
The Mobile ADF Career Centre (MACC) travels to regional communities across Australia, making it easy to learn about career opportunities, undergo physical assessments and receive guidance on the application process for joining the Australian Defence Force.
If you don't live near an ADF Careers Centre, this is your opportunity to chat to serving members of the ADF in person. Whether you're keen to learn about different roles or career paths, paid training or upskilling opportunities, lifestyle in the ADF or the amazing benefits on offer, drop by to have all your questions answered.
This is a highly valuable visit for those interested in potentially joining Defence or to just seek information out for others before beginning an application.
We also cater to those who already have an application and would like an update, practice their interviews, learn more about the application process and or ask any questions they would like.
