Maths in 2026

2026 is fast approaching and those students who are enrolling in Year 10-12 General, Methods and/or Specialist Maths will require the Texas TI-Nspire CX II CAS Colour Calculator.

Students completing Year 7-9 Maths, Year 10-12 Foundation Maths and VM Numeracy will require a scientific calculator.

Calculators can be purchased through the booklist or if you would like to get in early and have the appropriate calculator for the step up program, please see attached instructions for ordering.

Maths Challenge Opportunity

We are excited to introduce you to the International Maths Challenge’s Online Simulated Maths Challenge (OSMC). We would like to invite our students to take part in the Online Simulated Maths Challenge, happening 22–23 November

This unique event gives students the opportunity to test their problem-solving skills, stretch their mathematical thinking, and connect with peers from around the world - all from the comfort of home and you can find all the details here.

The challenge runs entirely online and is open for a full 48-hour window, meaning students can log in and complete the tasks at a time that best suits them.

With participants joining in from across the globe, this is a fantastic chance to experience mathematics on an international stage while having fun and building confidence.

Why join?

  • Work on engaging and challenging maths problems.
  • Compete alongside students worldwide.
  • Participate flexibly within the 48-hour period.
