HoL Highlights

Hands-On Learning Highlights
Our Hands on Learning (HoL) crew have had another busy year!
Our Build group, led by Adam Brady and Gav Deller, have proudly completed their latest project - a custom-built food cart that’s already proving to be a fantastic addition to our Café program. The cart has been put to great use during Café service and at special events such as R U OK? Day, showcasing how our HoL projects continue to give back to the school community.
The group hasn’t stopped there - they’ve also been hard at work landscaping the Cill Dara garden, transforming the space into a more inviting and functional area for students and staff alike.
Meanwhile, our Café programs have been buzzing with activity across both campuses:
🍰 Brigidine Campus
- Baked delicious cupcakes for R U OK? Day, helping to spread awareness and positivity.
- Donated profits from their Term 2 cake sale to purchase books for Wellsprings for Women’s Youth Services, supporting young people in our wider community.
- Continued creating delicious dishes and treats for Café service, developing teamwork and hospitality skills along the way.
🥗 Kildare Campus
This term saw the exciting launch of a new initiative - grazing boxes, created and sold to staff. The project has been a huge success, giving students the opportunity to showcase their creativity, teamwork, money-handling, and time-management skills, all while serving up something delicious!
