Assessment Reminders: 

• Year 8 HSIE task was due in Week 8. Please ensure this is submitted as soon as possible - even if It is late, all students still need to be assessed for  half-yearly reports. 

HSIE Class Highlights 

Year 7 HISTORY: Year 7 have recently started their study of The Mediterranean World, where classes are learning about either ancient Egypt, ancient Rome or ancient Greece. To introduce students to the new topic, Miss Hay’s classes were tasked in helping her plan a holiday to Egypt to study different historical sites. Students needed to propose a variety of locations they believed their teacher would be interested in visiting.  

Year 8 – HISTORY: Year 8 have recently finished their study on The Vikings and have now started learning about Japan under the Shoguns. Earlier in the term, they were tasked in creating a menu for using their understanding of resources available to the Vikings.  

Year 9 – Psychology: Year 9 Psychology have been learning about the different schools of thought within psychology. Students were tasked with choosing two and creating a comparative poster.  Below are some student samples from the class.
