This term students from Camden High School proudly participated in the NRL’s In League In Harmony program, a powerful initiative focused on Respect, Inclusion, Diversity and Social Cohesion. Across six weeks of workshops, students engaged in both classroom and practical activities that explored important issues such as racism, bullying and social inclusion, while building teamwork and leadership skills through rugby league.
The program encouraged students to recognise and celebrate the diversity within their school and wider community, empowering them to become positive role models and agents of change. Each week, one student was recognised as MVP for demonstrating the program’s core values of being Inclusive, Disciplined, Positive and United, and was awarded an NRL jersey.
The experience culminated in a celebratory Gala Day, where students represented the school with pride, teamwork and sportsmanship. Participation in In League In Harmony has helped students develop confidence, strengthen connections with their peers, and build the skills needed to contribute to a more respectful and cohesive community.

Harmony Week at Camden High School was a vibrant celebration of culture, diversity and inclusion across the entire school community. Students embraced the spirit of the week by wearing orange, cultural dress and international jerseys with pride during our mufti day.
Throughout the week, a range of engaging activities brought students together. The Harmony Hub featured a lively playlist, colouring activities for house points and the popular “Map it with Pride,” where students and staff placed stickers to represent their cultural backgrounds and connections around the world. Our Student Leadership Council also hosted a “Words Around the World” activity at recess, celebrating language and cultural identity.
Students tested their knowledge with world trivia and enjoyed a screening of Moana, prompting meaningful discussions about family, connectedness and the significance of art and music in Polynesian culture.
A highlight of the week was the NRL In League In Harmony League Tag Gala Day, which followed five weeks of workshops focused on teamwork, respect and inclusion. The day featured games, challenges and opportunities to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. A special congratulations to Lucas, who was named “Fastest in League In Harmony,” taking home a signed NRL All Stars jersey.
On our final day, students also enjoyed a cultural food tasting experience, sampling Dutch pancakes from Holland, fairy bread from Australia and sushi from Japan - a delicious way to explore different cultures.
Harmony Week was a fantastic opportunity for our students to celebrate what makes our community unique while reinforcing the values of respect, inclusion and belonging. We are incredibly proud of our students for leading the way in embracing cultures and helping to create a respectful, inclusive school community for all.
