Reading
In Reading, Year 2 students have been exploring non-fiction texts and practising their inference skills. They have been answering questions, such as how the author organises the text and what makes it interesting for the reader. Year 2 students have also been building their fluency by reading aloud and practising with a partner.

Maths
This fortnight, the students have been measuring mass and capacity using informal units. In measuring capacity, the students have been using containers to see how much they can hold. The students have been measuring using informal units so they have been experimenting capacity using unifix cubes, sand and water. They then have been comparing the capacity of different containers and seeing which one can hold more.
