Dear CPS Community

As we approach the end of another busy term, I wanted to reach out and thank you all for your contributions in making our school a supportive, inclusive, and vibrant learning environment for our students.

We are excited and extremely pleased with the completed murals completed by our Visiting Artist, Ryan Peik. They look amazing!

Looking ahead to Term 4, we have another visiting artist, this time an Indigenous Artist working with our students in Visual Arts alongside Mr Leigh McDonald. The school has engaged with the ‘song room’ program, which will run for approximately two weeks (10 days) – A BIG thank you to Ms Isabella Pagnozzi for her support with this engagement. We look forward to the artwork to be created by our students and ways we can display this across the school.

In other news…

Unfortunately, today upon opening the school this morning we discovered our staffroom was broken into – the offender smashed a class door to access the main building. Police were on site, received camera footage and have taken fingerprints, etc. The door has since been fixed, and the area has been cleaned. The matter is now with the Victorian Police. Our students' learning was not impacted by any of the events from this morning’s incident. A BIG thank you to our maintenance staff and local glazier who have been onsite to support with the clean-up.

Staffing update

At the end of this term, we farewell Ms Kennedy Bowes. We wish Ms Bowes all the best in her return to Canada and thank her for her commitment and dedication to CPS over her time here.

We also say farewell Mrs Haley Hoffman, who will be due to give birth to her second child in the coming weeks. We wish Mrs Hoffman all the best as she begins her family leave.

We have 1-2 staff members who will be taking leave in Term 4. These staff members will be covered by regular CRTs, where possible, to ensure consistency for the classes.

We wish everyone a restful break, enjoying time with friends and family.
