Visual Art

In Visual Arts this term, students have been exploring different forms of expression and creativity, with the end goal of creating a piece of work that links into some changes within the school community. Particularly celebrating the painting of 6 beautiful murals across the school grounds. Each of which highlights and recognises local indigenous flora and fauna seen around Craigieburn.

Foundation and Year 1

The foundation students have been working to complete their collaged artworks of the Sulphur-crested cockatoos, exploring adding final details and sharing their artworks with their peers.

The Year 3 and 4 students are exploring using different types of clay to sculpt, mould and express a colourful menagerie of Australian animals. They have learned about making armature wires and skeletons as a base for each model, and then focused on either a Kangaroo, cockatoo, Possum, or

Kookaburra as the animal chosen to sculpt. Each student chose different colours to create their animal to help express their creativity and build interest!
