We have another busy term in sport. Term 4 will see our Junior students participate in their Junior Sports (Athletics) Day, swimming, and the House Ball Games Competition with the Senior students.

Our Senior students also have the opportunity to participate in swimming, athletics events at Division and Regional meets, as well as bat, ball and net games for PE, with some fitness testing and data analysis too. Year 5/6 will also have the opportunity to display their leadership skills helping out at the Junior Sports Day.

Our Foundation and year 1 students have been busy practicing their athletic events and ball games this term and we can't wait to see how they go for these sporting competitions in the coming weeks.

DIVISION ATHLETICS RESULTS

21 of our wonderful DPS students attended the Maroondah and Manningham Division Carnival last Thursday from year 3 to 6. Competing over 31 events, many accomplished personal bests and some were lucky to go home with ribbons.

Some results of the day included:

1st to Xavier in the 9/10 boys Triple Jump

2nd to Harry in the 11 boys Discus

2nd to Amelia in the 12 girls Discus

3rd to Odin in the 11 boys 200m

3rd to Audre in 9/10 boys 200m

3rd to Lachlan in 12 boys Hurdles

3rd to our 11 boys relay

We couldn't be prouder of all our students, no matter where they placed, and look forward to what they can accomplish in the future.

We especially wish Xavier, Harry and Amelia the best of luck as they head to the regional carnival next week.

BADMINTON FOR 5/6

Our Senior students started badminton sessions with Sam Li from Badminton Victoria this week, and it was great seeing the students have a ball playing each other over at DISC stadium. We look forward to the next few weeks of fun, as we learn more about this sport.
