Library Updates
We have a range of new books available to borrow from the library including some more graphic novels which are proving to be very popular. Here are just a few of the new books on offer.
We will be opening the library on a Wednesday morning from 8.30 -8.50am. This is an opportunity for parents to visit our library with their children to browse our fabulous range of books. You can enter the library via the middle doors near OSHC, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Lions Public Speaking Competition Final
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the Lions Public Speaking competition final at Donvale Primary School. This event will be held in the BER building on Tuesday 19th November from 10am. We wish our finalists, JZ, Lily and Marley all the very best as they compete against finalists from other schools. No matter what happens, we are already so proud of the three of you!
Nicole Werner is very excited to announce her very first Christmas Card competition and invite all primary school students in the Warrandyte electorate to submit their artwork for a chance to feature on her Christmas card this year, which will then be sent to every household in the electorate!
Please pick up an entry form from the front office, library or download using the attachment below. Completed entries can be returned to the office at school.
The winning artwork will be displayed on the front of Nicole's official Christmas card, with drawings from the finalists featured on the back.
A few guidelines to follow:
- Drawings should be in colour – the brighter the better!
- Size should be within the box on the attached entry form – either portrait or landscape is acceptable
- Feel free to include the words Merry Christmas or Seasons Greetings
- Students can choose either a traditional Christmas theme or an Australian Christmas theme.
- All entries are to be on the attached entry form, with parent/guardian permission completed
We have had some fabulous entries come in so far. Entries are due back at the school by Friday 25th October.
