Wellbeing Moments

Welcome to our Wellbeing Moment: a chance to pause for a minute and reflect on something small but important. There’s nothing you need to do – just take from it whatever feels useful to you.
This week’s focus is Pressure.
Pressure is a normal part of life. It can come from school, sport or the expectations we place on ourselves and feel from others. While some pressure can help us stay motivated and focused, too much can feel overwhelming.
Important to remember, everyone handles pressure differently. Just because someone else seems fine doesn’t mean you have to feel the same way.
Signs you might be feeling the pressure:
- You’re more stressed or irritable than usual
- You can’t switch off or relax
- You feel overwhelmed by small things
- Your motivation or confidence drops
What can actually help:
- Talk to a friend, teacher or someone you trust
- Take a break and give your mind a reset
- Focus on one thing at a time instead of everything at once
- Be realistic with yourself – you don’t have to be perfect
"In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity." - Albert Einstein
This week, check in with yourself and your mates. If someone seems off, reach out. And if you’re feeling it yourself, don’t keep it to yourself: You don’t need to handle it alone.
And if you ever want someone to talk to, you’re always welcome to check in with your Head of Year or our College Psychologists.
