VET Pathways and Workplace Learning

During Week 9, Year 10 students will have the opportunity to explore a range of pathways as part of MyPath Week. Students are encouraged to access the Mazenod MyPath website and spend time researching the information provided to help them better understand the options available.

Ā

Year 10 students will have the opportunity to enrol in courses delivered by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), commencing in July. In addition, current Year 11 students may apply for one-year courses. Please ensure you act on the information when it is sent home in July. All RTO applications require a resume, so students are encouraged to begin preparing a basic resume. A template will be included in the information email.

Ā

I have met with all General Year 12 students to discuss their goals for the remainder of the year, including apprenticeships and course options for 2027. I will continue to check in with Year 12 students to ensure they are on track for next year. Over the coming weeks, I will also begin meeting with Year 10 students. If you would like to arrange an appointment, please feel free to email me.

Year 11 and 12 Workplace Learning

General Studies students should have submitted their Workplace Learning placement paperwork to the Careers and VET Office. Please note that paperwork was due today.

Ā

Please check your email for the Workplace Learning Parent Information document, which addresses common questions. If you require any further information, please feel free to contact me.

Ā

Once paperwork has been submitted, all relevant information regarding business and student requirements, along with insurance details, will be sent out. Logbooks will also be distributed to students participating in Workplace Learning.
