House Competition

Term 2 has been a powerful reminder of what our House system is all about, bringing our school together through community, spirit, and competition. Across the term, students have shown up for their houses, supported one another, and helped build a stronger sense of belonging across year levels.
House Athletics Carnival
The Athletics Carnival was a standout day, with students from Years 7–12 coming together. Whether competing in sprint finals, pushing for personal bests in long jump or just dressing up in house colours and cheering from the sidelines, everyone contributed to the energy and spirit of the day.
A real highlight was the leadership shown by our senior House leaders. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and pride in their houses helped shape the atmosphere of the entire day. For younger students, it wasn’t just about watching the senior students and house leaders take part, it was about seeing what it looks like to lead with heart and leave behind a legacy that others want to carry forward.
House Netball Tournament
Across Week 11 and into the final days of term, students took to the courts for the House Netball Tournament, a great way to round off a huge term of House events.
Spread across three action-packed lunchtimes, the tournament featured:
There was strong competition across all year levels, but what stood out most was the sense of teamwork, encouragement and enjoyment on and off the court. From last-minute goals to unexpected comebacks, the atmosphere was loud, proud, and full of house spirit and was the perfect finish to a term grounded in community, connection and belonging.
Coming Up: The Sandi Bald Arts Competition (Term 3)
Our final House event for the year takes place in Term 3: the Sandibald Arts Competition. This is a creative challenge that invites students to produce and submit original portraits.
We’ve already had some incredible early entries submitted, and we’re excited to see more. Entries are open now and close at the end of Week 1, Term 3.
All submissions earn house points, and standout works will be displayed across the college.
THANK YOU!
A huge thank you to all students, House Captains and staff who helped run and support events this term. The House Points Ladder remains wide open and every contribution, whether on the field, court, or canvas, matters.
