Student Voice, Agency & Leadership at Sandy: Driving Change Through Listening and Action
This term, student voice and leadership have continued to play a vital role in shaping the direction of Sandringham College. One of the key tools that supports this work is the Attitudes to School Survey (ATOSS) and this year, we were thrilled to see one of our highest student participation rates yet.
A big thank you to all students who took the time to complete the survey thoughtfully. The ATOSS allows us to gather important feedback on how students are feeling about their learning, wellbeing, safety, and connection to school. It’s a valuable source of insight that directly informs how we improve teaching, learning and the overall school experience.
This term, our school captains have run a series of highly successful student leadership meetings, bringing together all of the student leaders across year levels to share feedback, discuss initiatives, and help shape decisions that impact student life. These meetings have become a genuine forum for collaboration, and it’s been impressive to see the level of maturity, creativity, and leadership on display.
We’re proud of the leadership culture that continues to grow at Sandy, and we thank all students involved for their enthusiasm and commitment. Your voice is making a difference.
