Music Update
Year 3 - Recorder Karate:
We are slowly working our way through the different belts. White belt is the familiar classic 'Hot Cross Buns'. Yellow belt is proving to be a challenge as it isn't as familiar to us, but we are making progress! 'Eye of the Tiger' is a fun warm up we do each lesson.
Here are the links to the warm up songs incase you are lucky enough to have a recorder at home!

Year 4 - Cups:
We have been creating our own rhythms and performing them. Working in sync with groups have proven to be a challenge! We have copied some rhythms using classical music for some inspiration to add body percussion too. We also discussed the styles of classical music and how they wouldve been used to celebrate in their day!

Year 5:
We've been strumming away on our ukuleles and its been so much fun! We are pretty fabulous at changing between the chords C, Am and F so we are now adding in G7 (proving to be very challenging, not feeling natural). We have been practising the Island Strum too (D - DU - UDU).

Year 6:
We have been having fun creating beats on the buckets. There has been lots of deep focus to stay in sync with the group or partner along with a few broken drumsticks during our Kaboom warm ups! Well done!!
