We have been welcoming the change of season in the garden over the past couple of weeks and noticing the shifts in nature as the weather starts to slowly warm.
Students have been investigating the various strategies of flowering plants in seed dispersal, including fire, wind, water, air, animals, and attachment.
We have started out our summer seeds in the greenhouse with anticipation of plentiful crops of tomatoes!
This week, we made dumplings! Using the oyster mushrooms that students have grown in their classrooms along with spring onions, ginger, garlic, cabbage, tamari and sesame oil, we filled up dumpling wrappers and cooked them in a bamboo steamer. Many students shared their family ways of shaping the wrappers with their peers.
