Creating Futures Together
During the Year 12 Focus Day students were introduced to what ‘careers’ will look like for them in 2024.
Students completed their Career Action Plan which will be reviewed when they meet with me for their one to one career conversation. Career conversations will commence in March and run until Term 3.
Each student has unique goals and dreams and my role will be to support them with their desired destination, whatever that may be. Year 12s were strongly encouraged to build on or commence their career research as soon as possible so that they provide themselves with ample time to plan, research and make decisions.
A weekly Career Newsletter will be posted on the Year 12 TEAMS channel and important career information such as Special Entry Programs, Tertiary Open days, Special Entry Access Scheme applications and how to apply for courses/apprenticeships opportunities will all be communicated via this channel. I encourage all students to read their TEAMS channel daily in order to avoid missing out on important information.
A Year 12 Career Planning letter was sent out to all students and families last week which provides career planning suggestions. Students will be provided with guidance in August on how they can apply for courses and special consideration. Some key dates to be aware of:
