Student Leadership Voice and Agency - Meet the Executive Team

Creating Futures Together

MEET OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM

Hello WHSC Community,

It has been a fast but solid start to the year, and our Executive Team stands at the helm of an exciting journey of leadership and collaborative spirit. We’re made up of Executive leaders, Middle School Leaders, and Team Leaders, as well as members of the Principal Team and School Improvement Team.

Our inaugural meeting was full of energy and passion, filled with the promise of potential and a shared excitement for the innovative leadership format we are embarking upon. It's a year where every one of us, seasoned or fresh in our roles, is looking forward to the myriad ways we can contribute to the school's legacy.

We want to see WHSC grow and transform. One of our main goals is the creation of murals, a project that will see the transformation of our school into a canvas that reflects our united identity. We are working with the Culture Team in actively seeking collaborations and support to bring this vision to life, with the aim of unveiling our first mural by the end of term 3. These murals are more than art; they are a testament to our community's creativity and unity.

In the spirit of visibility and recognition, we're also focusing on designing our Leadership Wall in the office. This visual celebration of student leadership is set to be a source of inspiration and a beacon that guides our peers to their own leadership potential for this year and future ones too. In tandem, we are distributing leadership portfolios, ensuring that every leader's role is clear and connected to our collective objectives.

Our approach to inclusivity and respect this year takes a tangible form with the merging of the Diversity Club and the new Respect Club. By amplifying their voices, we hope to foster an environment where every student feels valued and empowered. Our goal is to see a marked increase in participation, giving life to the ideals of respect and diversity that we hold dear.

The Colour Run looms on the horizon as a vivid illustration of our commitment to engagement and joy. It is a testament to our belief in student-led initiatives, where leaders across the school come together to create a tapestry of activities that will leave a lasting imprint of fun and unity on our community.

This year stands as an invitation—an invitation to every student to step forward, to lead, to create, and to belong. As we finalise our goals and visions, we encourage you to join us in this endeavour, to share your ideas, and to partake in the creation of a vibrant, spirited school life at Wheelers Hill Secondary College.

Warm regards,

The Executive Team at Wheelers Hill Secondary College
