STEP Celebration Evening 2025

STEP Celebration Evening was in the last week of Term 2, and we finish the term on a high!

It was a fantastic night where all our STEP students got to showcase to their parents and families what they had been working on throughout the semester.  It was also a great opportunity for the students to see what other STEP programs had been doing.  We had a fantastic turn out, with many first timers in attendance. 

Jack Ojaimi, past student, and all around STEPtastic person returned to reflect on his time at PSC and his involvement in the STEP program as well as what he is doing now.  He is a very impressive young man, we were all very honoured and proud to hear him speak and excited to see where his journey is taking him.    

We were able to Celebrate and award our Overall ‘STEPer of the Year’ – Congratulations and well done Archie Pinhorn.

We were also able to celebrate some competition winners too!

Well done everyone on your achievements.  Bring on Semester 2 STEP!

STEP Robotics 

Mr Loxham and our Robotics STEP students headed off to Robocup on Saturday 26th of July.  This is the event that they have been working towards all year!

We had 3 teams enter the various competitions and although none of our teams made it into finals, their progress throughout the day as they recoded, redesigned and enhanced their robots before each heat was inspiring.  Well done everyone you were fabulous!

STEP Advanced 3D 

Mr Bogletti and our Advanced 3D Students have been working hard creating some amazing thing via programs such as Blender and Fusion 360.  What they choose to create is only limited by their imagination and let me tell you there have been some beautifully weird and wonderful things coming off our 3D printers of late.  

Awesome work everyone …keep creating!

Year 7 STEP 

Our Year 7 STEPper’s had our Design a Car Competition and it was fabulous!!  This year the designs were better than any other year in creativity and aerodynamics!  Each team had to produce a portfolio, do a verbal presentation about their car design and then race their car.  Congratulations to all our competitors, it was a fabulous day of racing.  Big congratulations to our competition winners:
