Student Leadership

Dear Saltwater Community,

Welcome to a New Term of Student Leadership!

As we kick off this exciting new term, we are thrilled to announce our first student-led initiative: Jeans for Genes Day on August 2nd. This day is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and support a very important cause.

What is Jeans for Genes Day?

Jeans for Genes Day is an annual event that raises funds and awareness for children with genetic disorders. By wearing jeans and making a donation, we contribute to groundbreaking research, support services, and resources that can change the lives of these children and their families.

Our student leadership team believes that this is a worthy cause becauseGenetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children, and the funds raised help provide vital support and research to improve their lives.

How to Get Involved:

  1. Wear Jeans: On August 2nd, students, teachers, and staff are encouraged to wear their favourite jeans to school.
  2. Donate: Bring a gold coin donation to contribute to the cause. Every little bit helps!
  3. Spread the Word: Share information about Jeans for Genes Day with friends and family to encourage broader support.
