Brainstorm Productions: Sticks & Stones Incursion for Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

Sticks and Stones is a fun and inclusive student wellbeing program for primary school students that reinforces positive relationships and supports children to build confidence and social and emotional skills. This show encourages positive connections, cooperation, impulse control,  respect and online safety. Brainstorm Productions is an evidence-based wellbeing program and is also endorsed by the eSafety Commissioner. This incursion is for students in Years 3 - 6.

At school, we emphasise the importance of online safety, teaching students how to protect their personal information, recognise potential online threats, and engage responsibly in virtual spaces. By fostering these essential skills, we empower our students to explore the internet confidently while making informed decisions. Together, we can create a safe online environment that enriches their educational experience and prepares them for the challenges of the digital age.

Parents and carers can access the event on Compass to provide consent and payment for this incursion. Students not attending this event will complete an alternative activity.

Policy Update: Child Safety Code of Conduct Policy

At GPPS, we regularly review our policies and processes to ensure that we are compliant with relevant legislation and the Department’s requirements and to ensure that each policy remains relevant and valid.

Families can access all GPPS policies on Compass or the school’s website.

Our school policies are updated regularly, following a review cycle process. Updated policies will be shared through our newsletters for community feedback.

Our updated Child Safety Code of Conduct has been reviewed and uploaded to our website and Compass. We welcome and encourage your feedback. If you have any suggestions, comments or questions in relation to this policy, please contact Gilgai Plains Primary School at gilgai.plains.ps@education.vic.gov.au or by phone on 03 8779 0000.
