Year 5

Our integrated unit this term is the Australian Gold Rush. We’re looking forward to our excursion to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat (details below) and students are working on their inquiry projects in preparation for the Living Wax Museum on Friday 11 September.
NAPLAN 2026
The Individual Report for Year 5 2026 NAPLAN is available via your Compass Chronicles. You can access these reports using either the Compass mobile app or the website.
We recommend that you download a copy of your child’s NAPLAN report to an external location so you have access to it after your child leaves EHPS and your access to the parent portal closes.
If you have questions about your child's NAPLAN results please discuss these with your child's classroom teacher.
Sovereign Hill excursion
We’re looking forward to our excursion to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat next Friday, 14 August.
Students will spend the day at Sovereign Hill and have dinner at Lazy Moe’s before returning.
Students need to be at school at 7:30am and will return at about 8:30pm.
The event notice has been published on Compass.
Kids Helpline Incursion
On Monday 17 August, Year 5 students will be joining the Kids Helpline’s largest anti-bullying lesson. This virtual lesson is created by Kids Helpline counsellors, is curriculum-aligned and designed to give students practical strategies to respond to bullying.
This free event is set to be their largest anti-bullying lesson ever. It is a fantastic opportunity for our students to be part of a massive, nationwide movement that promotes positive relationships, resilience, and standing up against bullying.
Because these topics are so important, we highly encourage you to sit down with your child after school on 17 August to discuss the event. Asking them about what they watched or what key messages stood out to them on the big screen is a wonderful way to reinforce these valuable lessons at home.
Thank you for your continued support of our students' wellbeing.
