The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre administers the application processes for places in tertiary courses, scholarships and the Special Entry Access Scheme at universities, TAFEs and independent tertiary colleges in Victoria. This also includes ATAR. All Year 12 students apply through VTAC for tertiary courses in Victoria. 

Please see some key dates and information for students who are wishing to apply for Universities and Tafe’s for 2025:

• 30th September - Course application and payment deadline (change of preference still open)
  • Nursing/Midwifery English Testament-Students will get prompted through VTAC to complete an online declaration form.  
  • Education-Students to complete CASPER test. Please book in at https://acuityinsights.app/ and complete 6 weeks prior to VTAC offers on December 23
  • Students interested in applying for design or creative courses, please ensure you check the Folio requirements if required. 
  • Some Tafe courses can be applied via the institution website if not listed on VTAC.
• 11th October - SEAS and Scholarship applications close
• 12th December – ATAR release. Make sure students have registered for the VCE Results and ATAR service at resultsandatar.vic.edu.au
• 14th December - Change of preference closes
• 23rd December - December course offers released and change of preference for January round open
• 10th January - January round 1 course offers released and Further change of preference and offer rounds in January & February
