Science

The Science department has been fortunate enough to have Ms Mackenzie Taylor join the team this year. Ms Taylor will be teaching Year 11 Chemistry students.

On April 1, a selection of Year 10 students took part in the Science and Engineering Challenge. The challenge was presented by The University of Newcastle Inland Rail Skills Academy in cooperation with Kooringal Rotary Club, Riverina Water, Transgrid and Nixons Engineering. We thank these organisations for their support.

Students were given the opportunity to work alongside other Riverina students to design and build a range of structures including bridges, wind turbines, a glider, an electricity distribution system and fish traps.

A Forensic Science Workshop hosted by Education Interactive is scheduled for Term 2. Year 9 and 10 students will take part in this informative workshop. More information to follow.
