and Mission
Holy Week is from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday and is considered the richest and busiest time of the Church year. Throughout history, Holy Week has been a time for Christians to gather for prayer, reflection, and to experience the core of their faith: Jesus’ death and resurrection. It invites us to deeply engage with the story of Jesus’ final days.
Holy Week draws us beyond thinking about our faith from outside to feel with Christ as he endures his Passion, to be humbled when we see him wash our feet and feed us in the Eucharist on Holy Thursday, to stay with him as he hangs on the Cross on Good Friday, and to share his joy and life as he rises from darkness to light on Easter Sunday. We wish our community a joyful and restful Easter break. May this sacred season renew your spirit, strengthen you and fill you with peace.
PROJECT COMPASSION 2025 - UNITE AGAINST POVERTY
Thank you for your contributions to our Project Compassion Campaign. Homegroups have been working hard to raise funds for people in need. A reminder that you also have the option to donate online. Thank you for standing with us, as we Unite Against Poverty this Lent.
VINNIES EASTER RAFFLE
To ensure the success of our Easter event, we continue to seek donations of Easter eggs, baskets, and gift bags. Currently we are short on donations.
Each family has received one raffle ticket booklet through their Homegroup, with tickets priced at $1 each. Please return all sold ticket booklets to the College Office promptly. We encourage you to get behind this wonderful cause that goes straight to our local Vinnies chapter.
YEAR 9 GIRLS CAMP - COMMUNITY BUILDING EXPERIENCE
During Week 9 of this term, our Year 9 Girls participated in their Community Building Experience at Feathertop Chalet in Harrietville. Our Year 9 Girls have considered their time on camp and have reflected on the ways in which this experience has changed and challenged them. We share a reflection below.
Growing strength as a woman develops through life experiences, the Year 9 Girls reflected on the specific ways our Camp encouraged your inner strength to shine.
“Going to Feathertop Chalet in Victoria for our Year 9 Girls' School Camp was an unforgettable experience that brought our entire year closer together. From the moment we arrived, the stunning views set the tone for an experience full of challenges.
On the first day, we gathered for our Opening Liturgy and were divided into five groups. After lunch, we participated in a team activity and explored the site. Later that night, we walked to a small ice cream shop not far from where we were staying. After dinner, we had fun with a trivia game, followed by a creative challenge where we made wedding dresses out of toilet paper. The second day tested our resilience and teamwork, especially during the high ropes course, where we had to pull the ropes to align the platforms, allowing our teammates to cross.
This camp not only pushed us out of our comfort zones but also taught us valuable life lessons about friendship, perseverance, and appreciating those around us. We made sure that everyone felt included at all times. On our very last day, we concluded the trip with our Closing Liturgy, and we all danced around and sang.
We also received heartfelt letters of affirmation from each other, this made a lot of people emotional after realising how much people appreciated us. Overall, our time at Feathertop Chalet will always hold a special place in our hearts.” Year 9 Student 2025

HOLY WEEK PRAYER
Loving God, you journeyed with Jesus every step of the way to the cross.
Help us to deepen our understanding of the events of Holy Week and inspire us to follow in His footsteps, living lives of selfless love and service.
Help us to keep your love close to our hearts so that we live that love in everything we do and say. May Your Spirit guide us today and always.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
