Alumni reunion weekend

One of the great pleasures of my work at St Mary's College is meeting alumni who visit the College, and especially those who are looking to take a trip down memory lane.

On Saturday 1 November, a small group of such alumni were in Hobart as part of their 40th reunion, and we met at the College for an afternoon of nostalgia and many laughs. We covered almost the entire school, which was important, as several of the ladies are 'Originals' and were very interested in seeing the major developments in the Junior School.

In fact, they could hardly believe the changes to the College and its grounds over the past 40 years. Every place we visited elicited a funny story and occasionally a dark one, and we completed the visit with a cup of tea and more reminiscing.

This group (Class of 1985) celebrated the next day with a lunch, which was attended by 18 of their former classmates.
