From the Year 5 Classroom

Dates for your calendar -  

Friday 28th November – Christmas concert 5-6:30pm 

Friday 12th December – End of year excursion  

Monday 16th December – End of year mass 

Tuesday 17th December – Final day of term 

Week 6 was a big week of leadership and growth. Students participated in our ASPIRE leadership day and loved being interactive with the presenter, Gill. On Wednesday, they met their 2026 buddies and will continue to get to know them on Wednesday 19th November.  

We have started writing our leadership speeches where the students have thought deeply about which Mercy Value they would like to be aligned with next year. They will also have an opportunity to write about what would make them a great 2026 school leader, if they wish to lead the whole school.  

On Friday, year 5 attended the Parish Mass, where the students were very respectful and engaged. It was great to see so many students volunteer to help Fr. Junjun throughout the service.
