Park IT – Help Shape a New Walk to School Initiative!

At Craigieburn Primary School, we are excited to begin exploring a new initiative called Park IT in partnership with Outdoors Victoria.

Park IT is a Victorian Primary School initiative designed to support families by creating a safe and convenient drop-off and pick-up location within walking distance of the school. Students and families then walk the final part of the journey to school along a child-friendly pathway that can be co-designed by students and supported by the school community.

This initiative aims to:

• Encourage healthy and active lifestyles
• Reduce traffic congestion around the school
• Promote independence and confidence in students
• Create safer and more enjoyable pathways to school
• Build a stronger sense of community and belonging

We are currently in the early stages of consultation and would love to hear from our families to better understand the level of interest and community support for this opportunity.
