A Record-Breaking Day at Lakeside: Athletics Carnival 2025

This year’s Athletics Carnival was one for the history books, held for the first time at the world-class Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park—home to international track events. With a perfect 26-degree sunny day setting the scene, students turned out in record numbers, filling the stands with energy and enthusiasm.
A vibrant sea of house colours swept across the stadium as students proudly represented their houses—Coleman, Gulam, Johnston, and Triggs. House spirit was everywhere, with a sea of costumes and house colours. A significant addition this year was the inclusion of field events, with discus and shot put making their debut on the carnival program, expanding opportunities for participation.
The competition was fierce across all year levels, with students giving their all in track and field events. Coleman House claimed overall victory with a commanding total of 926 points, followed by Triggs (880), Johnston (814), and Gulam (694).
