Eid morning tea

University High School recently hosted a vibrant Eid morning tea in the library on the last day of term 1, this was facilitated by student services and library teams to mark the end of Ramadan. The event brought together students, families, teachers, and staff to honour the traditions of the Muslim community and promote cultural understanding.
The morning tea served as a platform for cultural exchange, allowing attendees to learn about and appreciate different traditions. It fostered unity and solidarity among students from diverse backgrounds, reinforcing the school's commitment to inclusivity.
Those involved where able to bring along food and tea in celebration of this cultural tradition, we were also lucky enough to be supported by A-1 Bakery in catering the spread of food.
The event underscored the importance of embracing diversity and celebrating our shared humanity. As attendees departed, a sense of warmth and camaraderie lingered, emphasizing the power of coming together to honour our differences and build stronger community bonds. This is now our 3rd Eid Morning Tea which has been held at UHS, now being a yearly staple we are excited o keep finding new ways to evolve and expand on this tradition for our community.
Warm regards,
