🎶📚 What an incredible week of Arts experiences at Modbury School P-6 in Week 6! 🎭

🌏Our students have been immersed in music, drama, storytelling and performance all week, and what a wonderful celebration of the Arts it has been!

📚 Monday – Wake Up and Read!

We kicked off the week with our fantastic Book Week drama and music performance, celebrating the magic of reading and bringing stories to life through music, movement and performance. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our love of books and the joy that reading brings.

🎺 Tuesday – Police Beats Band

On Tuesday, we were entertained by the incredible School Beat Band, who had our students singing, clapping and even dancing along! Our students also had the opportunity to learn about the instruments and the important work police do in our community.

The show also included some important learning opportunities. Students heard about the importance of staying safe online, about making safe choices in the community, and how to look after ourselves when riding bikes, scooters, and skateboards.

The session also helped students understand the many roles police play in the community, and reminded students that police are here to keep us safe.

Students also learned when and how to call Triple Zero (000) in an emergency, and why it’s important to use it only when someone needs urgent help from police, fire, or ambulance.

A big thank you to the School Beat Band for a memorable performance that combined fun with valuable safety education.

🌏 Wednesday – Music in My Suitcase

We were absolutely wowed by the Mara Band and their Music in My Suitcase performance from Musica Viva! 🎶 Students travelled around the world through music, discovering sounds, instruments and musical traditions from different cultures. Their enthusiasm, curiosity and engagement were wonderful to see!

What a week of connection, creativity, discovery and joy through the Arts! We are incredibly proud of the way our students embraced every experience, listened, participated and celebrated the magic of music and performance. ❤️💛💚
