Student Reflection

Recently, I had the opportunity to take part in the Girl Power program at the University of Melbourne, which was an amazing experience. 

This program showed me to how to explore engineering and IT through fun, hands-on activities, during my time there I also met other girls who are interested in STEM. I learnt more about different STEM careers and goals, and it was really inspiring to see how many opportunities are available.

I would definitely encourage any girls who are interested in STEM, who are able to, to apply for the program. You don’t have to know exactly what you want to do in the future, it’s a great chance to try something new, meet inspiring people and discover what you enjoy. 

Most importantly, the program showed me that there are so many opportunities for girls in STEM, and I hope more younger girls get the chance to experience it too!
