The Victorian State Schools Spectacular lit up John Cain Arena on Saturday 13th September, with more than 2,500 students from over 200 schools across Victoria taking part in an incredible display of music, dance, circus and song. A huge congratulations to Leonard R. (Year 11), who was selected to play alto saxophone in the 75-piece orchestra. Leonard worked extremely hard for this honour, starting with the submission of audition pieces and an interview last year, and then attending months of city rehearsals that built up to a hectic practice schedule in the two weeks prior to the big event. This achievement highlights Leonard’s determination and the many hours of practise and dedication it’s taken to reach this level of performance standard.
