YEAR 9 SELF
As part of the SELF Program at Year 9, students took part in series of projects that developed problem solving, teamwork and small scale engineering. Students were given the task of building the highest possible paper tower using only paper and masking tape to test structural tolerances. The students had specific rules to follow and had to work in teams within a strict timeline where they could apply numeracy (measurement) and literacy skills (communication). The students enjoyed the task and were highly engaged.
