Year 7 Mathematics: Build a Bridge

Our Year 7 Maths students have been putting their knowledge of geometric properties into action by designing and constructing model bridges. Using popsicle sticks and hot glue guns, students created some impressive bridges with creative and thoughtful designs.     To put their work to the test, the bridges were loaded with weights to see which structure could hold the most, with many bridges showing both strength and clever engineering. This hands-on project gave students the chance to apply their learning in a fun and practical way, while also sparking plenty of excitement and friendly competition!
