Book Text Summary - ' The Raven's Song'

Author - Zana Frallion and Bren MacDibble

My summary of the text is The Raven’s Song starts off by introducing you to the main character, Shelby. Shelby lives in a low-tech closed community with her Da.

Shelby and her best friend Davy find a cut in the fence cutting off their community from the jungle beyond, they venture out, and they find another person, which seems impossible, because nearly everyone was wiped out from a disease 100 years ago, but an old man is walking through the jungle. They follow him in secret, and he leads them to a ruined city.

Inside that city, they find children, frozen in time, from 100 years ago, when there was a disease, and the only way to stop the disease was to freeze the people who fell ill until a cure was found. There was never a cure though, and the children were left there.
