LOST MINUTES = LOST LEARNING

Every day counts—but so does every minute. Currently an average MESC student has been late to class 10 times! We’re looking to improve on that for next semester.
Arriving late to school or to class may not seem significant, but lost minutes quickly add up to lost learning. A student who arrives just 10 minutes late each day can lose the equivalent of more than 6 days of learning across a school year. At 20 minutes late per day, that rises to approximately 13 days of learning lost.
Being on time helps students start the day calmly, engage fully in lessons and avoid missing important instructions and learning activities.
We encourage families to support punctuality by establishing morning routines and ensuring students arrive at school ready to learn. Every minute matters.
