Grade 5 News

Welcome to Week 6 

There is a lot of excitement currently within the Grade 5 Area as we have just unveiled our new text for English. For the remainder of the term we will be reading The Grandest Bookshop in the World by Amelia Mellor, which is inspired by the Cole’s Book Arcade located in Melbourne from 1883. 

We have begun working on decimals in our numeracy lessons, focusing on place value up to 3 decimal places and using standard and non-standard expanded form.

We are excited for our two excursions next week. 

On Wednesday we head to Galen for our RRRR day and Friday we head out for our school Athletics Day.
