Term 3 Week 3b

Welcome Back to Term 3!

We hope you all had a restful and refreshing break and managed to stay warm and dry! Term 3 is already shaping up to be a big one, packed with exciting events including camps, excursions, lots of sport, Book Week, Grandparents’ Day, and Donuts with Dad... phew! Feeling tired just reading that? You're not alone!

We were delighted to welcome eight new students to our Primary School last Monday. A very warm welcome to all the new families joining our community. We are praying for you as you settle in and hope you quickly feel at home here.

Last week I had the joy of visiting the wonderful Kindergarten student's classrooms and was blown away by the impressive holiday stories they were writing and yesterday marked 100 days of school for them. What an achievement!

This term, we’re also looking at ways to stimulate learning and provide meaningful, creative play during break times. One initiative we’re excited about is expanding our loose parts play areas in Year 1 and 2. This provides students with open-ended materials that inspire imagination, problem-solving, and collaboration.

If you have any items at home that you could contribute to our Loose Parts Areas in Year 1 and 2, we’d be so grateful. Please have your child bring the items to the Year 1 and 2 classrooms! Here are some examples of items we’re looking for:

  • Matchbox cars
  • Corks
  • Wooden blocks or small wooden posts
  • Small kitchen utensils (e.g. tongs)
  • Tubes (e.g. electrical conduit, pool hose)
  • Bottle tops
  • Unused computer keyboards
  • Shells

Thank you for partnering with us to create such a vibrant and engaging learning environment for your children.

Blessings,
