Saints Unplugged

Saints Unplugged Junior and Senior will return to the Music Block next week. The junior concert will be held on Tuesday 26 May, with the senior concert on Thursday 28 May, both begin at 6pm.

Audiences will enjoy a range of performances from individual musicians, year-level rock bands and the Saints Guitar Ensemble across both evenings. Entry is by gold coin donation, and our Hospitality students will have meals, desserts and drinks available to buy from 5:30pm.

These concerts showcase the culmination of a term and a half of hard work in music lessons and ensemble rehearsals. We encourage families and friends to come along and support your son’s performance. Both evenings promise to be wonderful celebrations of music and talent.

QREP

QREP, hosted by CQUniversity, will take place at Saints over the weekend of 30–31 May. Students from across the region will have the opportunity to work with lecturers from the CQU Conservatorium, alongside musicians from 1RAR Townsville.

The weekend will feature two days of workshops and rehearsals, culminating in a concert on Sunday afternoon from 5pm. Last year’s concert was a fantastic event, and this year’s performance will once again be held under Lavalla.

We invite everyone to come along and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of free entertainment.

Cairns Junior Eisteddfod

Members of the CSC Wind Ensemble, Saints Big Band, and the Saints Choir will once again be performing at the Cairns Junior Eisteddfod at CPAC in Week 10. Parent permission slips have been distributed, so please keep an eye out for the relevant details.

In Week 8, we will be holding an eisteddfod showcase, where these groups will perform their competition pieces as part of their final preparations. This showcase represents the culmination of almost two terms of rehearsals and practice, and we encourage families to come along and support their sons.

As several eisteddfod performances will take place during working hours, the showcase may be the only opportunity for many families to see their sons' groups perform.

Our program is busy and vibrant with many opportunities for performances. We entertain at assemblies, perform in productions and music nights as well as provide liturgical music for the College. Our students have many performance opportunities.

the calendar each edition to check that you are abreast of all that his happening, and make sure you put these dates in your diary.
