House Art

"Well done to all students for contributing to an inspiring and visually compelling exhibition."
This year’s House Art competition explored the theme of Perception, challenging students to interpret and represent how we understand the world through our senses. The result was a beautiful collection of artworks that captured diverse perspectives, emotion and ways of viewing our world.
A special thank you goes to our House Art Captains, Anshika (Kororoit), Annelise (Blackwood), Rhian (Rothwell) and Melany (Apollo), whose dedication and leadership were important in bringing each house’s vision to life. From organising submissions to supporting fellow students, their hard work played a key role in the success of this year’s exhibition. Thank you to Ms Kinnane for her ongoing guidance and support throughout the process. House Art would not have been such a huge success without her constant support.
Congratulations to Kororoit for achieving 1st Place, followed by Apollo, Rothwell and Blackwood. The People’s Choice results reflected the strong impact these artworks had on viewers, with Prism by Rhian Porto (Rothwell) recognised as the overall favourite.
The Judge’s Choice awards highlighted a range of powerful interpretations of the theme, including Introspection by Ahsen Yilmaz (Apollo), The Space Between Bus by Minn Wright (Blackwood), Bird Eye View by Acho Jia and Playing Dress Up by Janelle Ku (Kororoit) and Prism by Rhian Porto (Rothwell).
These works all demonstrated how perception can be shaped by emotion, experience and imagination. Well done to all students for contributing to an inspiring and visually compelling exhibition.
