YEAR 10 CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAMS

🌟 Hands-On Learning

Our 2026 Career Exploration Programs are continuing this term, providing exciting hands-on learning opportunities for Year 10 students.

 

A total of 34 Year 10 students are participating across the Care Economy and Trades Groups 1 & 2 programs, exploring a range of real-world career pathways and industry experiences. These programs are a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, develop practical skills, and gain valuable insight into future careers.

 

Students are taking part in practical workshops at Swinburne in the following areas:

🌟 Care Economy

🩺 Allied Health

🤝 Community Services

👶 Early Childhood Education

🔧 Trades Groups 1 & 2

🔨 Carpentry

⚡ Electrical

⚙️ Engineering

🧱 Bricklaying

🚰 Plumbing

 

The program also includes a range of valuable enrichment and qualification opportunities:

Career Enrichment Day – focused on pathway exploration, confidence building, and future career planning.

 

White Card Course (Trades) – providing a nationally accredited qualification to support future work experience and employment opportunities.

 

First Aid Course (Care Economy) – providing a nationally recognised qualification that can be used in school, work, and everyday life.
