YEAR 8 SIGNIFICANT PERSONS PROJECT

🌟💛 Celebration Afternoon
The Significant Persons Project is a key part of the Year 8 semester curriculum, spanning the Arts, English, and Languages faculties. This project allows students to identify and pay tribute to a significant person in their lives.
Students have chosen a wide range of people, including parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, coaches, and teachers.
In English, students have written a reflective piece inspired by the character and influence of their chosen person. In the Arts, they have created sculptures, paintings, and dramatic interpretations symbolising their significant person. In Languages, students have designed bunting featuring information about their person in French or Indonesian.
Parents and Carers are warmly invited to attend a celebration afternoon with your child’s significant person (or a proxy).
This event provides an opportunity for the school community to celebrate student achievement and for students to publicly acknowledge and thank their significant person.
The afternoon will include presentations, as well as a gallery walk to view the artworks, followed by a light afternoon tea.
