This week, our students have been completing NAPLAN testing. For those who might be new to it, NAPLAN (National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) is an annual assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9.
It covers Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language (spelling, grammar, and punctuation), and Numeracy. The Department of Education uses NAPLAN to understand how students are performing across Australia and to help schools plan teaching and learning programs.
This week, students completed Writing, Reading, and Conventions of Language, and on Monday, the Numeracytest will be completed. There was an issue with the Writing test due to a nationwide online outage, which meant some Year 5 students had to complete it the following day. Year 3 students were not affected.
Staff News
This week we said farewell to Ash Manshanden, who is taking her maternity leave and expecting her first baby. We thank Ash for all her hard work in classrooms and for helping with organisation across the school. We look forward to seeing photos and hopefully some cuddles from her new little bundle of joy!
And the good news just keeps coming.....Claire Pratt is expecting a baby in August.

Easter Raffle
A big thank you to everyone who donated items for the Easter raffle and to those continuing to sell tickets. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps us raise funds for school programs and activities.
Prep Tours for 2027 have started!
It’s hard to believe how quickly the term is going. Our Prep students have been so accommodating and enthusiastic, proudly showing off their growing knowledge of the single phonograms and their developing maths skills to the tour groups.
It’s wonderful to see their curiosity and confidence already shining through.
