Inclusive Education: Community Access in Action

Our IE students have been out and about this term, taking part in a wide variety of community access experiences designed to build real world skills and confidence beyond the classroom. From supermarkets, parks and museum visits to public transport journeys, library trips and local recreation outings, students have had the opportunity to practise everyday life skills in genuine community settings.

These excursions offer far more than a change of scenery. They help students develop independence, communication, money handling, social skills and safe travel awareness, all while building the confidence to navigate the wider world. 

None of this would be possible without the outstanding commitment of our IE staff. We are incredibly proud of the growth our students continue to show, and I am so grateful to our Inclusive Education staff for making these opportunities happen.
