Book Week 2026 - Symphony of Stories

This year, our library celebrated Book Week with the theme ‘Symphony of Stories’. We had lots of fun celebrating books and encouraging students to share their love of reading.
Our ‘Blind Date with a Book’ activity was a big hit. Students could choose a wrapped book based only on a few clues, without knowing the title or seeing the cover. It was a fun way to encourage students to try something they may not normally pick up.
We also asked students to recommend a favourite book and tell us a little about it. Their recommendations were turned into a colourful display in the library, giving everyone plenty of ideas for their next read.
Reading is so important for building vocabulary, knowledge and imagination, but it is also about finding stories you enjoy and getting lost in a good book. We loved seeing students getting involved and sharing their recommendations with others.
Happy reading!
