Year 11 Wellbeing Ski Camp

Deputy Principal Mr Howard:
From Wednesday the 29th to Friday the 31st of July a group of over 30 year 11 students went away for ski camp. Students stayed at the Acacia Snowy Motel in Jindabyne, and they enjoyed 2 full days of skiing and or snowboarding.
The weather turned out to be beautiful for those in attendance and the skiing conditions were fantastic, with powdery snow all over Mt Perisher. The skiing and snowboarding were better for some students with others having several minor falls over the 2 days.
Student behaviour and attitude was fantastic throughout the whole trip, and the staff spoke very highly of the group. I would like to thank Mr Banks, Ms Fox and Ms Zaidan for all the hard work that goes into organising such a camp and for their expert supervision whilst they were away.

Head Teacher Wellbeing:
In Week 2, 33 Year 11 students hit the slopes for an unforgettable wellbeing ski trip to the stunning Snowy Mountains!
Over three action-packed days and two nights away, students had the opportunity to bond, laugh, challenge themselves and create lasting memories with their peers. For many students, it was their first time skiing or snowboarding, and they embraced the challenge as they learnt new skills across two exciting days on the slopes at Perisher.
When they weren’t skiing and snowboarding, students made the most of the winter wonderland, building snowmen, enjoying epic snowball fights and warming up with hot drinks.
From conquering the slopes to sharing plenty of laughs, the trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build friendships and experience something truly memorable together.
